HYDRA-CELL™ PUMP APPLICATIONS PULP & PAPER INDUSTRY Wanner Engineering's pumps are used to: Felt Washing, Trim Squirting, Tail Cutting, Apply Coatings, Transfer Adhesives, Pump Alum (as well as other proprietary solutions) and Treat Wastewater.

The Pulp & Paper Industry uses Hydra-Cell™ Pumps for many different types of applications.  The main reason Hydra-Cell™ Pumps are used is because they are extremely reliable and durable.

Some of the higher pressure applications found in pulp and paper mills include the pumping of water for felt washing and trim squirt operations.  Lower pressure applications include transfer of alum and chemicals for wastewater treatment, applying adhesives and spraying coatings.

Another Satisfied Customer
One of our customers is a manufacturer of clay coated box-board.   They use D10 Hydra-Cell™ Pumps for their trim squirt application.  Prior to switching to Hydra-Cell's™, they used piston pumps - which would wear-out and fail about every 6 weeks!  Their reclaimed water contains white water and clay particles, which is very abrasive and damages ordinary piston pumps quickly.  Rather than go through the trouble and expense of repairing their pumps 8-9 times per year, they would just buy new pumps every other month.

This company also happens to purchase spray nozzles from the nozzle manufacturer that TPS represents.  One day I was
 meeting with the plant manager and learned of his pump problems.  I showed him the cut-away version of the Hydra-Cell™ and explained the advantages it has over the piston pumps he had been using up to that point.

He Decided to Give Us A Try!
It has been 7 years and his Hydra-Cell™ Pump is still going strong!   There hasn't been the need for any repairs and they no longer have to purchase new pumps every 6 weeks since installing their Hydra-Cell™.  Switching to  Wanner Engineering Hydra-Cell™ Pumps has saved them unnecessary maintenance costs and thousands of dollars a year in replacement pumps!
